Dear Friend of Center 12,
Some places are more than just an address. They are a refuge. A turning point. The room where someone finally said, "I need help" — and was met with open arms.
Center 12 is that place.
For over 5 years, we have quietly and steadfastly served our community — providing a safe, affirming, and welcoming home for 12-step recovery meetings rooted in the heart of the LGBTQ+ community. Lambda, our flagship meeting now in its 48th year, has walked alongside thousands of individuals through some of the hardest moments of their lives. And we have never turned anyone away.
But maintaining this sanctuary takes resources. The rent, the utilities, the upkeep — the very things that keep our doors open every single day — depend entirely on the generosity of people who believe, as we do, that everyone deserves a place to heal.
Here is what your donation makes possible:
• A safe, clean, and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals in recovery
• A home for the Lambda Group of Alcoholics Anonymous (est. 1979), Sunday Morning Live (est. 1992), Lambda Al-Anon, Crystal Meth Anonymous, and CoDA.
• Open doors for anyone who walks in ready to begin their journey
Recovery is hard enough. Finding a place to belong shouldn't be. Will you help us keep the lights on?
